Jelly Birds

Here I am trying to embrace spring with these printed shirt and jelly loafers that I have got no chance to wear before. Cute patterns and colors are bold enough on their own, so I kept the entire look casual and simple by pairing them with jeans. And I like the idea of channeling the nineties through the headband.

The Local

 
We all know about the importance of supporting local farmers and purveyors by attending farmers markets and buying from those who produce food here in our nation, the same goes for fashion. Buying local fashion labels helps support us all as a community and goes on to assist our city and nation's economy. Admittedly, I buy plenty of clothes that come from all over the world, but some of my personal wardrobe staples are from local designers that really know how to make it work. There are so many great Indonesia based fashion brands, two of them are The Balletcats and Nikicio which I'm wearing in this post. Investing locally helps us think globally. It just does. Many say people either love Indonesia or hate it. I say love it and show it with style.

To avoid looking like I just stepped out straight from the field, I gave this look a tough edge with my black docs and rolled up clutch
